In 2013, a Frenchwoman, Californian at heart, passionate and with a vision, decided to found the California Bliss brand, now developed by Blueriver Groupe. The challenge? Reinventing frozen yogurt to make it Yogurt Gelato, a high-end and healthy product.

The challenge was on, and after a great deal of training with master ice-cream makers in Italy and the south of France, THE premium yogurt gelato was created. Over the years, California Bliss has become THE French specialist in top-of-the-range yogurt gelato.

Right from the start, innovation took centre stage: frozen yogurts, with their creamy taste, low fat, gluten-free content and 25 flavours (natural, vanilla, mango, and also rose-lychee-raspberry, avocado, salted butter caramel) made their mark on the market, as did a new frozen dessert, the 'acai bowl' - an Amazonian berry with super antioxidant powers. There was an instant demand and, in the factory in the south of France, new recipes were being created at full speed. This was followed by the opening of stores and partnerships with hotels, restaurants and beach clubs so that, by 2022, yogurt gelato in a range of flavours (natural, vanilla, mango) and our famous frozen desserts, such as the acai bowl, took pride of place on the chilled shelves of supermarkets. With expansion and new European and international horizons in mind, after four years of research we decided on a partner in Italy, in the province of Venetia, to work with us on premium artisanal production. With HACCP (food safety management systems) certification and a focus on short supply chains from a hand-picked range of premium suppliers, this manufacturer's 40 years of experience is now a testament to the growth of the brand.


Today, the premium yogurt gelato developed through the Venetian partnership has led to exciting new prospects.
